Another Goodbye

Sweetie,
In an hour, your daughter Heidi and I will lovingly release your ashes into the ocean. The ocean where earthly life began millions of years ago, the place you so loved during your time on earth.
We're almost ready. Your ashes, some beach sand, a few small pieces of coral, two flowers from the porch at the inn, and your favorite Oreo cookies are safe in your urn. The urn is water soluble and nontoxic. The outside is covered with messages from your most important people. Our dear friend Linda will help us get you to the water.
Afterwards, Heidi and Linda will dive the reef in your honor. Leftover bronchitis keeps me from diving today, but I will snorkel, as you taught me.
I wish you clear skies, calm water, and perfect light. You're surrounded by loving people. You'll be in your favorite place. You'll be ok. We'll be ok too.
