Privacy for Richard's Family
Widowing is both a private ordeal and a public spectacle. Most of this site deals with that private ordeal -- and much of what this site says is extremely private and shatteringly personal.
For that reason, I've chosen not to tell you much about who Richard was and who his other survivors --sister, ex-wife, adult children and grandchildren, colleagues, friends, and neighbors -- are. I have used no last names.
About myself, I will only say that I am a woman in my mid-seventies, that Richard was my only husband, and that we were married for close to 44 years.
